Smile Cookies support Kamloops Y youth programming | Radio NL

We all have a chance to give to a local children’s charity and satisfy our craving for sweets this week

It is indeed Smile Cookie week again at Tim Horton’s and this year the Kamloops YMCA-YWCA will the the local benefactor of the funds that are raised

Y spokesperson Bryce Herman says the cash will help replace money that was raised with a different program before the pandemic hit

“We haven’t been able to do Strong Kids campaign for a number of years and so this will certainly back fill that and allow us to raise funds in the community for the Y Kids programming so, great cause.”

“They do a number of children’s programs whether it’s child minding services, whether it’s swim lessons, camp programs, all of those things. I mean there’s community outreach as well so, just family support right across the board. So, there’s number of those and we’re really gearing all of this money to go towards those children’s campaigns.”

The Smile Cookies are available until the Sunday and cost $1.

There are two ways you can participate in Smile Cookie week.

Visit your local participating Tim Hortons between September 19 – 25 and buy a Smile Cookie, or, you can pre-order a box of Smile Cookies to share by completing the pre- order form in advance through the Facebook page or by visiting the local website.

Pre-orders must be made 48 hours in advance.
