It is indeed Smile Cookie week again at Tim Horton’s and this year the Kamloops YMCA-YWCA will the the local benefactor of the funds that are raised
Y spokesperson Bryce Herman says the cash will help replace money that was raised with a different program before the pandemic hit
“We haven’t been able to do Strong Kids campaign for a number of years and so this will certainly back fill that and allow us to raise funds in the community for the Y Kids programming so, great cause.”
“They do a number of children’s programs whether it’s child minding services, whether it’s swim lessons, camp programs, all of those things. I mean there’s community outreach as well so, just family support right across the board. So, there’s number of those and we’re really gearing all of this money to go towards those children’s campaigns.”
