Forspoken came out on the 24th of January to some mixed reviews. The new game from Luminous Productions, published by Square Enix is an RPG where you use your new powers to get back home. And the hardware needed to run it is surprising, so what is the best GPU for Forspoken?
So the system requirements for Forspoken are incredibly taxing. In a market where the average user has a GTX 1650 or GTX 1060, this game is not too friendly to those users.
The minimum requirement for the game is an RX 5500 XT or a GTX 1060. That itself may be a bit strong of a need, but the surprising thing is what that will get you in terms of performance. The store page suggests it will only achieve 720p at 30FPS. These days that is too low.

In an age of 4k and 144 Hz monitors, that seems like a slideshow by comparison. So what is the recommended? Well, there it suggests at least an RTX 3070 or RX 6700 XT. A much newer and more powerful selection that quite a few users will not have.
And with that recommended specification, the game suggests you will get a performance of 30 FPS at 1440p. Clearly, they do not realize people now game at 60 FPS at a minimum. But it does give a bar for hardware, so now we look at what the best option is.

Pros
WINDFORCE 3X Cooling System with alternate spinning fans
Silent mode will provide a quieter experience
Cons
Basic design compared to others
So with that, your best option is to go for something a bit more powerful for a smoother experience. The minimum or recommended specs are likely a bit too low for a good experience, so it might a good idea to go for something bit higher up.
Therefore, the first choice of graphics card is the RTX 3080. As the top pick for the Ampere generation, it still stands strong. With great performance to keep it running smoothly and powerfully, it sure is a great option.
In that same vein, the RX 6800 XT is also a good choice from the AMD Radeon selection. With a performance level quite high but also software to support its performance level.

Pros
Plenty of thermal capacity
12 heat pipes and vapor chamber for good heat transfer
Cons
Cheaper design not suitable for everyone
In that same generation, the RX 6900 XT or 6950 XT are also great top-end options. That should now be available for cheaper as newer cards are out. And from Nvidia, there are also the RTX 3090 or 3090 Ti.
Whilst from the even newest generation there is a choice from RDNA 3 or Ada cards. The RTX 4070 Ti or RX 7900 XTX is a good performance level to use.
